Project description:               

 

Alfalfa responds to phosphorus.  Broadcast application to established alfalfa is a recommended practice.  The value and length of utilization from preplant P bands is unknown.  P was applied in bands before establishing alfalfa on a field that was in a previous P experiment with corn.  There was an established range of soil P on which to apply the P bands.  Effect
